Monday Evening Motivation

The day has started,

it’s almost over,

I hope you made it great,

and did it all with purpose,

I’m just glad that Monday is almost over.

• This weekend was just relaxing for me and also for my husband and daughter. We had friends over, did a nice barbecue, and played card games. I’m so grateful to have friends that I can call to come down and have a relaxed weekend with us. But, it’s Monday again and it’s time to start the week over and focus on work, school, or whatever you have to do during the week.

Late nights, Early mornings

Sometimes I can’t sleep (most of the time), so I am always up late watching movies or doing things on my phone and computer! I can be up all day running behind my daughter or doing stuff around the house but when I lay down my mind is just all over the place about what more I need to do. Or things I need to do tomorrow! I know many can relate, I can’t be the only one ! I just want sleep to find me !

But, I still wake up early in the morning to get my one year old feed and watch tv with her because it’s what I love to do. I cherish those moments knowing that I am soo tired but I love her so much! Sleep is needed to give the body and mind rest, and I know I need more of it to take care of myself.

After PCSing – How we’re settling

So, January was my first time experiencing and going through a PCS move(coming from Germany). Right after my husband and I married he got deployed and went back to Germany after the deployment so I decided to move there too. And I didn’t have to do a big move because I didn’t have anything but clothes.

To me the moving part was not stressful at all. I had what I wanted packed up and they packed up the rest, we stayed in our apartment for a few weeks, a hotel for a few days, and after that we were boarding to go to our next duty station. Monica did great on the flight and slept most of the time. But, when we got back stateside that’s when the headache started! Problems with our flight, dog, and getting in a home.

Overall we are doing better and everything is finally settling in with everyone, even our dog. I do kind of miss being overseas. Everything was different there, the shopping, the people, and the traveling (AND FOOD) was amazing. People may have a different opinion about being in Germany, but hey everyone has their own opinions. We’re doing great and living, that is what matters!

Overseas Pregnancy

Being a mom has taught me a lot of things about life, caring for a life, and being the strong mother that she needs. I had my first daughter on January 5th , 2017. I was overseas away from all family and friends, so I didn’t get to cherish that lovely moment of warmth and love from my mother being there beside me. But, I held it together and stayed strong because I had my WONDERFUL husband by my side each step of the way which is something that some people may not have. Even though my mother was not in the delivery room with me, she stayed on the phone the whole time coaching me through and crying tears of joy when she heard my daughters cry.

No-one in my family had a chance to experience my first pregnancy. Just viewing pictures that I posted and calling on video chat. At the time we didn’t have the money for me to travel home nor could anyone come over to me. I think that is the hardest thing about being a military wife, having to move away from your love ones, getting pregnant, and no-one gets to spend that time with you and see you. Other than that I loved my pregnancy and thankful for being able to carry her to term with no complications in the end. We love her so much and can’t wait to give her a brother or sister. LastShareCollage.PNG
